RECRUITING: America's top WR sets visit to OU

Louisiana receiver Early Doucet names his top five and talks about his upcoming visits.

JH: How is your season going? Are you getting healthy?

ED: "We are 4-1 on the year, but playing pretty well. I have been slowed down a little bit by a hamstring injury, but it is getting back to full strength. This past weekend I scored four touchdowns, two rushing, one receiving and one throwing. I played quarterback and wide receiver this weekend. I usually just play quarterback, but this year they are moving me around a little bit. I haven't been doing that much this year, because of my injury, but now that it is getting better I think my coaches will move me around again. This Friday I think I will be back returning punts and kickoffs."

JH: Are you still giving the hamstring special attention?

ED: "I still wrap the hamstring, but I only wear a slight wrap on the leg. The leg is getting better and better all the time and I feel very close to normal for me."

JH: Has the fact that you are rated a top 10 player in the country made you a marked man in high school football in Louisiana?

ED: "As the year went by I think my reputation has grown, especially after my first two years in high school. I think now everybody is out to get me, but I have always worked hard and I am out to prove they can't. I think my national publicity makes them want to come after me more."

JH: Have you set any more visits?

ED: "I will be Florida State this weekend and then next weekend I will be at Oklahoma. I was going to Oklahoma the weekend of the Oklahoma State game, but I have decided to move it up for the Missouri game."

JH: How is recruiting going?

ED: "It is going pretty good. I have narrowed it down to five schools and the phone calls have been cut back because of that, and that is good. I think those five schools are great teams and they are who I am really interested in. I think things are going pretty good. I am going to take visits to Miami, Florida State, Florida, OU and LSU and pick from those five."
