MARCUS WALKER, CB, 5-11, 180, 4.45 WACO, TEXAS (WACO HS):
JH: Did you go to the OU/Texas game?
MW: "No, I didn't go, but I recorded the game and watched it back on TV."
JH: What does the score of the game tell you about Oklahoma?
MW: "It lets you know how good they are and how good they are going to be. It gives you a sense of security, because you know that Oklahoma plays up to their abilities in big games and that is something that is great to know."
JH: How does the fact that Oklahoma has been ranked number one all year so how does that influence your decision?
MW: "You just can't beat what Oklahoma is going through right now. They have been ranked number one all year, been on television every week and ESPN seems to run a feature on them every week. You can't beat the atmosphere that surrounds Oklahoma all the time and they have great players and keep getting great players. OU already has great players like Tommie Harris and Vince Carter, to name a few, and the already have a commitment from Rhett Bomar, the best quarterback in the country. OU has it going right now and I don't see that changing."
JH: What is going on in your recruiting right now?
MW: "I have been concentrating on my season and staying cool as far as recruiting goes. Nothing has really changed and we are now into district play so I am just concentrating on my team and trying to get into the playoffs. Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska and Missouri are my top seven at the moment."
JH: How is your season going?
MW: We are 5-1 and we are 1-0 in district. I have been playing pretty good. I don't get challenged much, but I have played with good technique and I am always where I am supposed to be."
