RECRUITING: Peterson set for another trip to OU

Palestine, Texas running back Adrian Peterson talks about his big game and the latest in recruiting.

JH: I understand that you had a pretty good game this past Friday?

AD: "Yes sir, I did pretty well. I came off the bench for the game and finished with seven carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns. I didn't even play the second half. I didn't start in the game, because I got back form my trip to Arkansas on Monday and my grandfather had to have heart surgery late Monday, so I missed that practice and a little bit of Tuesday's because the surgery took place in Tyler. So, my coach felt I shouldn't start and that is how the game went down."

JH: That is almost 20 yards per carry. Did you have a big run mixed in?

AD: "I had one run for 30 yards and really had a great day running the football."

JH: What did you think of your trip to Arkansas?

AD: "I really enjoyed myself and it was real fun. I really liked everything about Arkansas."

JH: Did your visit to Arkansas enhance their chance to sign you?

AD: "Yes sir, I felt like I was at home. I felt like I was just chilling back at Palestine and just hanging out, and that is important to me. Arkansas has a good program. The coaches are great people and they players are good people."

JH: How does recruiting shape up with you now that you have visited Arkansas and UCLA officially?

AD: "It is the same really with Arkansas moving up a little. I would say that Oklahoma, Arkansas, Miami, UCLA, Texas and Texas A&M are in the picture."

JH: Are you coming to the OU/OSU game this weekend?

AD: "Yes sir, but it is going to be an unofficial visit. ight now I don't know when I am going to take my official visit to OU."

JH: Have you set any other official visits?

AD: "No sir, I haven't. I am not sure when my next official visit will be."
