VICKIEL VAUGHN, FS, PLANO WEST, TEXAS:
JH: Are you going both ways this season?
VV: I am playing free safety and wide receiver. We are 3-1 thus far this season with our only loss to Plano East. So far this season I have four interceptions. Teams at times are trying to throw away from me, but at times they challenge me and I make them pay.
JH: I understand you are a very poised player, is that true?
VV:I try to keep my emotions in check during a game. I play with emotions, but I don't want my opponent to know that. I might make a big play during the game, but I want to keep things under control so that I can make another one. I also call our signals in the secondary and I need to stay calm to make those calls. I think I can be a good free safety in college and feel I can be a team leader and makes all the calls in the secondary.
JH: What schools are you still interested in?
VV: My choices really haven't changed much. I am still interested in UCLA, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. My top three schools are still UCLA, Oklahoma and Arkansas. I have a visit set up this weekend to West Virginia. I haven't set up any other visits at this time. I am working on visits to Michigan State and Notre Dame, but I have nothing set at this time. I plan on visiting Oklahoma and Arkansas, but haven't really started talking to them about visits."
Recruiting: Plano safety is a quiet assasin
