JASON WATKINS, OT, 6-7, 287, 5.0 LAKELAND, FLORIDA (LAKE GIBSON SENIOR HS):
JH: How is your season going?
JW: "We are 8-2 right now and our playoff chances are still up in the air. There is a three-way tie for the playoffs right now. We play Friday night and hopefully we will win and things will shake out, but if we still have a tie we might have to play again on Monday. The Monday game would be just for one quarter, but that would still be pretty intense. I am playing better and better each week. Somebody is always getting hurt in our offensive line and that has showed our progress in the line. It seems I am having to show somebody what to do so much that I can't really concentrate on what I am doing."
JH: Have you taken any officials visits yet?
JW: "No, but I have them all ready set. I am going to LSU (11-7), Auburn (11-22), Michigan State (12-5), Georgia (1-10) and Florida (1-17). I still like Oklahoma a lot and they may be the team that is leading for me, but I am not sure when I can take one to OU. I have been working to set up a visit with OU and I still don't have a date. I have already set my official visits and I don't want to throw them out at this time. I really don't know what to do at this time and I could still visit OU. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens. If it had to sign today I would seriously consider OU, but I will have to wait and see what happens with my official visits."
JH: Who are your favorites at this time?
JW: "I think Oklahoma and Florida are my top two schools at the moment."
