RECRUITING: Five-star LB has OU in top three

Lake Mary, Florida linebacker talks about his favorite, Oklahoma's defense and visiting Norman in an exclusive interview.

KEITH RIVERS, LB, 6-3, 220, 4.5 LAKE MARY, FLORIDA (LAKE MARY HS): How is your season going?

Rivers: "We're in the playoffs, but we're only 6-4, which is kind of disappointing. I've got 140 tackles, two punt blocks and an interception." In terms of recruiting, what school is your leader right now?

Rivers: "I'd have to say USC, but is OU is definitely in the picture a lot. Florida is also up there as well." Are those schools your top three choices?

Rivers: "Yes." Does junior college linebacker Ryan Powdrell's commitment to USC last week affect your recruitment?

Rivers: "I don't know. It kind of does a little bit. I really haven't looked at their depth chart, but I don't think so. We'll just have to see what happens." What are your thoughts on Oklahoma's defense this season?

Rivers: "I'm really impressed. They're definitely one of the top, if not the best defense in the nation." How would you fit in Oklahoma's defensive scheme?

Rivers: "Pretty well. They really get after it defensively. I like that, because I'm very aggressive." Which Oklahoma coach is recruiting you?

Rivers: "Kevin Wilson, I think, but I usually talk to Coach Venables." How would you describe Coach Venables?

Rivers: "He's a great guy and a real go-getter. I like his enthusiasm and confidence." Have you set any official visits yet?

Rivers: "No. I've been really busy with my football season, so I haven't had that opportunity yet." Are you going to visit Oklahoma?

Rivers: "Yeah. I think I'm going there (Norman) in December." What other schools will you visit officially?

Rivers: "USC and Florida."
