Recruiting: McDonald likes everything about OU

But do the Sooners lead for the talented offensive line prospect from Waco?

LaQUALAN McDONALD, OL, WACO, TEXAS:

JH: Did you go to the OU-Texas game?

LM: I didn't go the OU-Texas game in person, but I watched it. It was a good, hard-fought football game. Oklahoma took advantage of Texas' mistakes and won the football game. I had fun watching Vince Carter at Oklahoma and Tommie Harris for Oklahoma, and Derrick Johnson for Texas play in the game. All of them played very well. Vince did what he was supposed to do and Derrick was all over the field. Tommie was good as well and always seemed to get penetration.

JH: Do you watch the game as a fan or as a player?

LM: I do both. When the game is mellow I start watching technique and start watching how guys are playing. However, when the game gets real exciting I starting watching as a fan.

JH: Have you ever been to the game?

LM: I have never been to the game in person, but I try to watch it every year. I would love to play in that game someday, but on Oklahoma's side more than Texas.

JH: Do you have a good interest in Oklahoma?

LM: Yes sir. Besides Vince and Tommie going there I like Coach (Brent) Venables, their tradition and come to think of it I like everything about Oklahoma. Texas A&M is probably my favorite school right now with Oklahoma right behind them. I like talking Coach Babers, the Offensive Coordinator and R.C. (Slocum) himself. I like the tradition and distance at Notre Dame as well. I am also talking to Arizona, LSU, Georgia and Arkansas. I have not set up any visits at this time.
