RECRUITING: Sooners land four-star cornerback

Georgia cornerback Ramarcus Brown is the latest to join OU's 2003 recruiting class.

Georgia cornerback Ramarcus Brown all but left Norman a Sooner Sunday afternoon, and less than 24 hours later has has confirmed that the six-foot, 185 athlete officially committed to Oklahoma.

"I am very close, but I haven't committed to them. Maybe sometime this week I will make that decision," said Brown in an interview with James Hale on Sunday night. ""I talked to Coach Stoops and I told him that I had to come back and talk to my parents about it and see what they think. I am going to talk to them tomorrow evening after school."

And apparently that's what exactly happened Monday evening as Brown informed the OU coaching staff that he was a Sooner.

"They really get after it and their whole defense gets after it," said Brown about Oklahoma following his trip. "(Derrick) Strait is great and has great hips and (Antonio) Perkins is very fast."

"It was really nice and the facilities are the best that I have seen. I have seen Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Auburn, and none of those are as good as Oklahoma." will have more from Brown on his verbal to Oklahoma on Monday.
