Recruiting: San Diego safety has interest in OU

Long Beach Free Safety Darnell Bing says he would be interested in OU if offered

Bing is a fantastic talent that has started at for Poly for three years. Bing started at strong safety his first two years at Poly before moving to free safety this season.

Last year, Bing finished 63 tackles, one interception, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and three touchdowns. Thus far this season Poly is 4-1 and Bing feels he is having another banner season.

Bing is going both ways this season at running back and free safety. Bing went to the First and Ten camp in San Diego and performed well. Bing can bench 325 pounds, squats 535 and he has 38-inch vertical jump.

Twelve different schools have offered Bing at this point and he is still wide open at the moment.

"I am mostly looking at Pac-10 schools and my favorites are Oregon, Washington and USC," said Bing. "Outside of that area I like Florida State and Oklahoma. I still hear from Oklahoma, but they haven't offered me at this time. Florida State has offered and if Oklahoma does I will be very interested in them as well. I don't have a favorite school right now."
