RECRUITING: Walker ready for OU trip

Top Texas CB prospect Marcus Walker talks about his visit to Texas A&M and his upcoming trip to Norman.

MARCUS WALKER, CB, 5-11, 185, 4.5, WACO, TEXAS (WACO HS):

JH: You are now right in the middle of the recruiting process, so how do you think things are going?

MW: "It is kind of fun and the visit part is really fun. Things are beginning to get heated up and at this point/ I really don't know where I want to go to school. The visits actually make things confusing even more. It is fun, but pretty tough right now."

JH: How does it stand between the three schools you've visited so far?

MW: "They are all pretty much even. All the schools that I have visited (Florida State, Arkansas and Texas A&M) are really about even. They have all been good, but I don't know if I could pick one right now."

JH: What did you think of your visit to Texas A&M?

MW: "It was pretty cool and I like their players. I got to hang out with a lot of their players and they really made me feel like I was already a part of their team. They have good team unity there and that was very impressive."

JH: What are your thoughts on your visit to OU this weekend?

MW: "I am very excited about my visit to Oklahoma because they have been at the top of my list since day one. Coach (Brent) Venables is coming to my house tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing him. I am very excited about this visit and I can't wait for the weekend to get here."

JH: Does the fact OU finally lost a game bother you at all?

MW: "No, that game doesn't bother me because everybody else has lost two or three games. One loss doesn't bother me. OU is still playing for the national title."

JH: You have already visited OU unofficially, so what will you look for during your official visit?

MW: "This time I will have my guardian with me so that I will have another set of eyes. He will give me his opinion on what it is like and we will compare notes. I already know quite a bit about OU, but we will learn a great deal this weekend."
