Peterson: "I can win the Heisman Trophy at OU"

ADRIAN PETERSON, RB, 6-2, 205, 4.5, PALESTINE, TEXAS:

JH: What did you think of your visit to OU?

AD: "I had a great time. I had fun because I hung out with the guys a lot. They all showed me a good time."

JH: Since you had already been to OU on several occasions, what was your mission on this visit?

AD: "I already knew a lot about the program, so I was just wanting to see what it was like to live there. I had never been out up there and I wanted to see if it would be a good place where I could enjoy myself up there. I believe that it is."

JH: Who was your host?

AD: "The first night my host was Lynn McGruder and the second it was Mark Clayton. I am pretty close to both of those guys. We went to a couple of places, but for the most part just hung out."

JH: What did you think about Jason winning the Heisman Trophy?

AD: "I think he deserved to win the Hesiman. Jason had a great year and he was the best player."

JH: As you watched that award ceremony did you start thinking that someday you could win the Heisman Trophy?

AD: "It made me feel like I could do the same thing. I certainly have those kind of dreams. I can win the Heisman Trophy at OU."

JH: After the visit, what are you thoughts about recruiting?

AD: "It is the basically the same, but now I feel a little more comfortable about OU being my top school."

JH: Did you come close to committing to OU this weekend?

AD: "No, sir."

JH: When do you feel you will announce your decision?

AD: "It will probably be after that US Army All-American Bowl."

JH: When do you take your final visit to Miami?

AD: "I go to Miami next week."
