RECRUITING: Duncanville's Brown checks out Norman

Duncanville athlete Pierre Brown says he wants to win championships. Could a verbal to OU be coming soon?

JH: How did your season wind up?

PB: "We finished the year 8-3."

JH: How did you do individually?

PB: " think I had 600 yards passing and around 12 something rushing. I didn't play any defense in high school, so I don't have any stats over there."

JH: Where do you want to play in college?

PB: "I am getting recruited on both sides of the ball. Some people like me at receiver and then on defense people are recruiting me at cornerback. I could also play safety."

JH: Who have you visited thus far?

PB: "I have visited Texas A&M and OU."

JH: How did your visit go to OU?

PB: "It went pretty good. I liked it a lot. The environment is tremendous and the relationship between players and coaches seemed very special to me. I toured all the facilities and got to watch practice. Practice was fast, but very good. It is easy to see why OU has such a good team. I had a chance to hang out with the players and that was a lot of fun. Demarrio Pleasant and Mark Clayton were my hosts."

JH: What did you think of the watch party with the OU team as they watch Jason White win the Heisman Trophy?

PB: "It was great and it was a great experience. I am glad that he won and they made me feel like I was part of their team. The coaches and players just made me feel so welcome. I am so happy that Jason won the award."

JH: Are you close to committing or do you have a solid leader?

PB: "I can't say really yet. I am keeping all five of my schools at the top of my list. I also like Kansas State (12-19), LSU (1-16) and Arkansas (1-23). I plan to take all five visits at this point."

JH: Did your visit put it in your mindset that you can see yourself signing with OU?

PB: "Yeah, I can see myself signing with Oklahoma. They have a great football program."

JH: What are you looking for in a football program?

PB: "I am looking for a program that wins championships, and so far OU has shown they can win championships. They have a great coaching staff, a great style of play and a great strength. I am pretty open as to what style of play that I am looking for and I am pretty open academically as well."
