Sooners still lead for Peterson after Miami trip?

Palestine, Texas running back Adrian Peterson talks about his trip to Miami and compares the Hurricanes to the Sooners. Peterson also talks about a possible timeline for a decision.

ADRIAN PETERSON, RB, 6-2, 205, 4.4, PALESTINE, TEXAS:

JH: How was your trip to Miami?

AD: "It went good. I had a good time. I got to see a lot of Miami and what it is like in that part of the country. It was all good, but it was kind of cold there. There was a lot to do there. We went out to the beach and to come clubs and stuff."

JH: What did you think of the football program?

AD: "I watched practice and they have a good football program. They have a good team and they work hard. They have a lot of great players on both sides of the ball. They are an excellent program."

JH: Did your visit to Miami enhance your thoughts on Miami?

AD: "I really didn't know much about them when I went there, but now I know more about them. I would have to say that I like Miami a lot better after the visit."

JH: What is your situation in recruiting at the moment?

AD: "Right now I will probably just chill and talk to my dad and make a decision. I am thinking about making a decision soon, but it will be after the all-star game."

JH: How would says your leader board stacks up?

AD: "OU is still at the top right up there by Miami. Oklahoma is just a little bit ahead at this point."

JH: What would you say is the difference between the two schools?

AD: "Miami is just a bigger place than Oklahoma, which is a small college town. If you weren't thinking about football then I would say that Miami is a better place to go because there is more to do there. Both programs are really good, but when it comes to college football Oklahoma is just about as good as it gets."

JH: How about the running back situation at both schools?

AD: "Miami has a guy they are playing now and they are getting ready to sign two more. They have depth, but I believe in myself and know what I can do. OU has D.J. Wolfe and they have some good running backs on campus, who are already on campus. But that won't have any effect on my decision because I really don't care who they have. I know that I can go in and do a good job."
