Tulsa standout's father addresses rumors

The latest on Tulsa high school basketball star Kelenna Azubuike's college destination

We had a chance to talk with Kelenna Azubuike's father, Dr. Kenneth Azubuike, this evening about the rumors that his son may have de-committed from OU.

"These rumors are not true. I don't know where this information comes from, because nobody, and I mean nobody talked to anyone in our family. Nobody has called us to find out if Kelenna has changed his mind and we have never said that anything has changed regarding his situation."

"Nothing has changed with Kelenna's recruiting. We have made no announcement regarding Kelenna's recruiting. Everything is as we said when he committed to OU at his high school. It upsets us so much that people will report things and say that the family says this or that and they haven't even talked to anyone in our family. They haven't talked to Kelenna, me or my wife. This is wrong and we don't appreciate it."

"I talked to Coach (Kelvin) Sampson tonight and we explained the situation to him. We told him that nothing has changed with us. I think this misinformation is coming from people that don't like OU. I think there is a group of people in the media that just doesn't like OU. Nothing has changed with us and we have made no announcement that we have changed our mind about OU. Our decision is still the same as when we announced that we were committed to OU."
