RECRUITING: Juco DT to visit Norman

Junior college prospect Remi Ayodele is set to check out Norman on Sunday. But just how high is this four-star defensive tackle on the Sooners?

Remi Ayodele, DT, 6'3, 300, 4.8, NE Oklahoma A&M JC, (Grand Prairie, Texas):

JH: What kind of season did you have this year at NEO?

RA: "I had a pretty good season. I had about 64 tackles, seven sacks and one fumble recovery. We started out pretty slow, but our team just got better and I got better with it. I played pretty well throughout the season and maybe had one bad game. Against Cisco we didn't get up for that game for some reason and I am guilty of that as well."

JH: How much has your game progressed since you left high school for to play junior college ball?

RA: "I got a lot better, because in high school you go out and play for fun. Here at NEO, I learned technique and my pass rush got a lot better. I just learned a whole lot more here with the great coaching here."

JH: How is recruiting going for you at this point?

RA: "It is going pretty well. I feel blessed about the whole thing because I have some good schools that are recruiting me. I have a good feeling about everything."

JH: How many visits have you taken?

RA: "My first visit I went to Rutgers, then I went to Colorado, Arizona State, OSU and I am going to Oklahoma this weekend."

JH: What factors will influence your decision?

RA: "I am really just trying to break schools down and figure out what defenses I can fit in best with. I am trying to figure out what schools I can come in a help immediately."

JH: Do you have a leader at this point?

RA: "No, I would have a tough decision if I had to pick a school today."

JH: Are you interested in Oklahoma?

RA: "I am happy they want me to come up for a visit. It is Oklahoma, and man that is a big school. I just want to go up and meet the coaches and visit with some of the players. I have always liked Oklahoma. They are a great program."

JH: Doesn't your family have some past experience with OU tight end coach Kevin Sumlin?

RA: "Yes, he signed my brother (Akin) at Purdue."
