DARNELL BING, FS, LONG BEACH POLY, CALIFORNIA:
JH: How is your season going?
DB: We are currently 6-1 on the season and still having a good year. I have been out the past couple of weeks with a viral infection. It has made the side of my face numb, but I am on medication and they say that it will go away. I am told I got it from transferring my body heat to fast. My doctors feel I will be healthy again in another week or two.
JH: How were you playing before you got sick?
DB: I was playing pretty well up to that point, but I have only played in five games. I don't keep up with stats really. I haven't had any interceptions as teams are trying to avoid me in the secondary. I do have two forced fumbles and I have two pass knockdowns.
JH: Have you set up any visits?
DB: I am setting up visits and right now I have one set for Washington (12-14). I am talking to Oklahoma about setting a visit, but don't have anything at this time. Those are the only two schools that I am seriously considering at this time. I will probably visit on East Coast school, either Florida or Florida State, whichever school offers me first.
