All-American defensive tackle Franklin Okam headlines a list of three players visiting OU this weekend.
Okam, a 6-foot-4, 300-pounder from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas, is the No. 2 rated defensive tackle in the country and the No. 1 rated defensive tackle in Texas. With the departure of All-American and Lombardi Award winning defensive tackle Tommie Harris, the recruitment of Okam is a key to the recruiting success of the Sooners this season. Okam has narrowed his choices down to OU, Texas, Florida, Stanford and Oklahoma State, with the Sooners and Longhorns the front runners.
Also visiting the Sooners this weekend are two committed athletes. Wide receiver Lendy Holmes of South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas, and place-kicker Garrett Hartley of Southlake Carroll High School in Texas are both ranked among the best at their position in Texas and across the nation.
