RECRUITING: Is Peterson's verbal solid?

Palestine, Texas running back Adrian Peterson talks about his commitment to OU and his trip to College Station.

Adrian Peterson, RB, 6-2, 210 PALESTINE, TEXAS:

JH: AD people are going crazy about you attending a basketball game in College Station. What's up?

AD: "I went up there to just watch a basketball game with some friends. I would rather just drive an hour and fifteen minutes to watch a basketball game than I would to drive five hours to watch one in Norman."

JH: Did you actually talk to Texas A&M coaches while you were there?

AD: "Sure, they found me and they talked to me, but that wasn't any big deal. It was just a couple of minutes. We didn't stay very long in College Station anyway. I didn't have a lot of time to talk to anybody very long."

JH: Are you still firmly committed to OU?

AD: "Yes, sir."

JH: Are you getting ready for track season yet?

AD: "We are still playing basketball and averaging 15 ppg. We are 20-3 overall and 3-0 in district.

JH: You are one of the best sprinters in the country, so will you run on the summer track circuit or come to Norman in June to get ready for two a-days?

AD: "I am going straight to Norman to workout. I might run track at OU at some point, but my first priority is to go to Norman to play football, and that is what I will concentrate on."
