Recruiting: Houston RB says he could help OU

The latest on where the OU stands for the Lonestar State's top running back Selvin Young

JH: How is your season going so far?
SY: We are playing pretty well as our record if 5-3 and we are 3-2 in district play. We started out at 0-2 in district, but since then we have won three straight and we are now playing pretty well. I am playing OK as I have rushed for 1,146 yards and 16 touchdowns. We are working out of the spread offense and I don't touch the ball as much as I used to, but that is OK with m, because we are really playing well now.

JH: Do you prefer to run out of any particular style of offense?
SY: No, I think I can run out of any offense. I can work out of the spread, I-formation or the split back. I have experience in all of them, because over the last three years we have changed our offense so many times.

JH: How is recruiting going?
SY: My recruiting is going well. I am keeping an open mind. am still considering OU, UCLA, Arkansas, LSU, Texas A&M, TCU and many other schools. I still kind of have OU, UCLA and Arkansas at the top, but really I don't have any schools in any particular order. All of those schools and many more have offered me and I am still considering all of them.

JH: Have you watched Oklahoma on TV this year? If so, what are your thoughts?
SY: I watched Oklahoma against Nebraska and I was disappointed they didn't run the ball more. OU looked like a pure passing team to me, but I think if I went there I could help them in their run game. I think I would fit into their offense very well and I think I could show them that a run game would be great in their offense. I thought they were well-coached and played hard. OU didn't have many penalties and they didn't make many mistakes.
