JUSTIN BLALOCK, OL, 6'3, 335, 5.1, PLANO EAST, TEXAS:
JH: How is your season going so far?
JB: It has seemed like a great year for me. Last game I graded out at 97 percent and for the year I am grading out at 95 percent. I just want to fit into the offense, but there are times that we get into a stretch where the offense runs behind me. Against Plano, I was playing to the tight end side and on several straight plays I just caved in the left side of their defense and we scored off my blocks. We are 7-2 on the season and 4-1 in district play. We have qualified for the playoffs.
JH: What position will you play in College?
JB: I am probably a guard in college. It doesn't really matter to me where I play, because I have played both guard and tackle during my career. In high school there isn't much difference in the positions, but in college there is a great deal of difference in the two.
Have you set up any visits?
JB: I have a couple of dates that I am looking at. I am thinking about going to Michigan (12-7), but that depends on how we are doing in the playoffs. Then, I have something set with Florida (1-17). I am going to visit OU and Texas as well and possibly one more. I am still looking at Nebraska,
Arkansas and Miami for that final visit. I haven't been able to set all my dates, because I believe we will be playing for a state championship and they go on until mid-December.
JH: Do you have any favorites?
JB: Not at the moment. Oklahoma is a still a good opportunity to go in and play early. I know they are rotating a couple of young players at tackle, because of injuries. However, that doesn't mean that is still not a good opportunity for me next year. They are still a good team and will be in the future as well. OU has so many young players on their team that there is no question that they will continue to be good. I probably like OU, Texas and Michigan a little bit more than the others, because I have seen them in person. However, that really doesn't mean much, because I haven't seen all the schools. I am still going to take official visits to all the schools and that will decide everything.
