Recruiting: McCullough wants to be a running back

The latest on Garland (North), Texas two-way star Edorian McCullough

How is your season going?
EM: We have qualified for the playoffs. We are 4-2 in district and we are 5-4 overall. I have rushed for 1,497 yards and 15 touchdowns. On defense, I have six knockdowns and 20 tackles at cornerback. I am being recruited mostly as a running back and that is where I really want to play in college.

JH: What style of runner are you?
EM: I can make people miss at top speed. I am not just a track guy playing football. I make defenders miss all the time. My speed really helps on defense, because I am never out of a play. I can outrun the football to the receiver sometimes and at least knock the ball down.

JH: Have you made or set up any visits?
EM: I am thinking about going to Nebraska this weekend on an official visit. I am also looking at Miami, OU, Texas and Texas A&M. I have talked to Miami about setting up a visit, but we don't have anything definite at this time. Everything is still pretty much all even, I don't have a favorite.

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?
EM: I am pretty high on Oklahoma and I like them a lot. Oklahoma is eager to win and they are a very good school. The coaches do a great job and they seem to get along with their players.

JH: Are you looking forward to your visit to Nebraska?
EM: I am looking forward to my visit to Nebraska this week. I really don't know what to expect, but I hope I learn a lot about what they are doing.
