Recruiting: California OL likes OU's offense

Update on Long Beach Poly offensive lineman Winston Justice

JH: Is Poly still winning?

WJ: We are still having a great season at 8-1 with one more regular season game to go. We will go into the playoffs as the number one seed and we have a great shot at winning our section. My individual season is going well, but there are still some things I need to improve on. I need to get better at staying low and keeping my pads below my defender. Because I am tall, it is not always easy to stay low and keep my pads low. I think I can run and pass block equally well, but again I need to get better on some the fundamentals of playing in the offensive line.

JH: Who is the best player that you have played against this year?

WJ: My toughest opponent all year has been Manuel Wright. Of course he is on my own team, but I have to block him every day and that hasn't been easy. I like the competition at practice, because it helps me do better in the game.

JH: Have you set any visits yet?

WJ: I have set visits to Washington (11-14) and Oklahoma (1-18), but I am trying to move that visit to a earlier date. I would like to OU January 11th. I might take a trip to Florida, but I don't have a date yet. Washington is a good program and they just built that new dome that they practice in. I like Oklahoma's winning tradition and they pass a lot, which is the kind of offense I want to play in.

JH: How are you enjoying recruiting?

WJ: It's pretty fun.
