Michigan, who won the postseason NIT title in 1984, advanced to Monday's second round matchup with a 65-64 win over Missouri on March 16. The Sooners advanced to the second round with a 70-61 win over LSU on March 17 ... The winner of Monday's game will advance to the quarterfinals and face the winner of the Hawaii vs. Nebraska/Niagra game. The date for the quarterfinal matchup will either be on March 24, 25, or 26 ... Monday's matchup will be only the second meeting all-time between the two schools. Michigan won the only meeting, 91-80, at the Maui Classic in 1988.
