Three years ago it was Oklahoma who ended Stanford's season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Norman.
This year, however, it was the Cardinal (26-6) who returned the favor with a 68-43 rout of the Sooners in the second round Monday night in Tempe, Ariz.
Stanford, who led the Sooners 23-22 at halftime, used a 16-4 run to start the second half and then followed it up with a 20-0 run from the 12:49 mark to the 5:39 mark to put the Sooners away for good.
The sixth-seeded Cardinal now advance to the Sweet 16 next week in Norman instead of the Sooners.
Stanford forward Nicole Powell led all scorers with 25 points. Dionnah Jackson led the Sooners with 15 points.
Oklahoma ends the 2003-04 season at 23-8.
