OU announces schedule for Stoops' sixth season

Home-and-home with Oregon finalizes OU's 2004 scheduled. The Sooners will play the Ducks in Norman on Sept. 18, and then travel to Eugene, Oregon for the return game in 2008. The Ducks were 8-5 last season and are 45-17 with one BCS bowl appearance (Fiesta) in the last four years. OU Head Coach Bob Stoops is 54-11 in his first five season in Norman.

NORMAN, Okla. — It's official, finally.

After over a month of speculation, Oklahoma Athletic Director Joe Castiglione announced Wednesday that the Oregon has been added to the Sooners' 2004 schedule.

The Ducks, who have signed a home-and-home series with the Sooners, join Bowling Green and Houston as Oklahoma's non-conference foes next season, and will play in Norman on Sept. 18. The Sooners will return the game to Oregon during the 2008 season.

The 2004 season also marks the sixth of the Bob Stoops era. Stoops is 54-11 in his first five seasons in Norman.
