RECRUITING: Spring trip to Norman in Farr's plans?

The Lonestar state's top tight end — DajLeon Farr — talks about his summer plans and names a top four. Did OU make the cut?

DajLeon Farr, Tight End, 6'6, 240, 4.77, Galena Park, Texas (North Shore High School):

JH: Have you decided on where you are going to visit this spring?

DF: "I just came back from the UT Spring game. I also went to Texas A&M junior day. I am not sure if I am going to any other games or not. I am not going to any camps this summer. They were both good trips and I enjoyed my time at both.

"I was hoping to go to an LSU practice and I was hoping to get to the OU spring game, but because I have some transportation problems I am really restricted on where I can go right now. If I can find somebody that is going to those events and they are in my area, then I will try to go with them. But right now I don't know of anybody so I probably can't."

JH: How many scholarship offers do you have at this point?

DF: "I think I have been offered by 13 schools at this point. UCLA was supposed to send their scholarship offer to me once they get my transcript. My top three schools are LSU, Miami and UCLA and all three of those schools have offered me. I also like Oklahoma and they are in my top five. They are a great school and they are always up there. The Texas schools and Arkansas are in the battle for my fifth school."

JH: What do you like about the top schools on your list?

DF: "LSU is made me feel at home when I went up there on their junior day. I want to go to a school that has a good atmosphere, because I am going to be their four to five years. I have to get along with the players and I want a school with a good education system, and that is what they have.

"I feel the same about Miami and UCLA, and I haven't visited either school. I have talked to the coaches and they both seem to be great schools.

"I have already talked about Oklahoma, and the Texas schools are close to home. I just need to get out and visit there and see what the atmosphere is like. I plan to take five visits so that I can really get a feel of what they are all about it. And then I will sit down and make my decision."
