SELVIN YOUNG, RB, 6'1, 195, 4.4, HOUSTON JERSEY VILLAGE, TEXAS:
JH: How much do you want to weigh when you get to college to play running back in college?
SV: I think I will play at 200 or 205 in college. I want to keep my speed. Over the summer I hit the weights pretty hard, but I have never been on a college weight program. We work hard, but I am sure I will get bigger and stronger in college.
JH: How is your season going?
SV: We are 7-3 on the year and have qualified for the playoffs. I have 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year in eight games. I missed two games, because of a strained hamstring. It's cool now, or I should say it is better. It is still not 100 percent.
JH: What kind of offense are you looking to play in?
SV: It doesn't matter what offense I play in, I feel I can fit into any offense. We run the spread offense now, but my sophomore and junior year I was in the one-back. It's doesn't matter what offense I'm play in in college.
JH: How is recruiting going?
SV: I have set a visit with UCLA and Oklahoma in late November or early December, but we are in the playoffs and I don't know when I can visit. However, I know that I am going to visit those two schools. I also like Colorado, Texas, TCU, LSU, Arkansas and several others. I really don't have any idea where I want to go, but I think you could say that UCLA and Oklahoma are my two favorites at the moment.
JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?
SV: I have real good thoughts on Oklahoma. They are winning and they have a real good offense. Oklahoma runs the same offense that we run now. The same goes for UCLA in that they are winning and they run the I-formation. I like their offense as well.
Recruting: Top Texas RB still high on OU
