Recruiting: LaMarque OL wide open?

LaMarque offensive lineman and Texas A&M commit Cody Douglas talks about his trip to Norman

JH: How is your season going?

CD: We are 8-2 and start the playoffs this week. My season is going great now. At the beginning of the season I was bothered by a sore knee, but it feels great now and I am beginning to play some good football. I am playing offensive tackle and I am not playing defense. The last six games or so I have been grading out a 92 percent.

JH: Did you take an official or unofficial visit to OU this weekend?

CD: It was an official visit. It was unbelievable and nice. The coaches made it clear where they stood with me. They told me that they liked me on the offensive line and that they really wanted to sign me. I could tell they were sincere in what they said and I could tell the coaches and players really got along well. The game was a really good game. The first half was a really good ballgame, but then Oklahoma took over the second half.

JH: Now that you have visited OU are you still committed to Texas A&M.

CD: It's wide open. I am not going to say if I am committed to Texas A&M or not, but let me put it this way, stay tuned, because anything could happen. I really liked Oklahoma. The only thing negative I could say about Oklahoma is that they put the ball in the air a little to much for me. I could live with that in the long run. Actually, that would make it easier on me, but I do like to run block.

JH: Are you going to take other visits?

CD: I am going to Tennessee in two weeks and I have a visit to LSU in December. I had LSU this week, but I canceled it so I could concentrate on the playoffs. My last visit is pretty much open.
