Recruiting: Mammoth Waco OL has a favorite

Waco, Texas offensive lineman LeQualan McDonald has not set any visits, but he does have a favorite

LeQUALAN McDONALD, OL, 6'5, 330, 5.2, WACO, TEXAS:

JH: Did your high school team advance to the playoffs?

LM: Yes we are still playing in the first round of the playoffs. We ended our regular season 7-3 and finished second in district. Things have gone real well for me. I think I have played very well. We keep stats on the offensive line, but we won't know them until after the season. I think I am going to grade out pretty well. We play Phlugerfill this Saturday at Waco High. We played them last year in the playoffs and sqeaked by them 14-13.

JH: Are you being recruited to play offense, defense or both?

LM: I am being recruited as an offensive tackle, which is where I play here at Waco High. I have started for three years, which is pretty good, because we have always had a good offensive line here at Waco.

JH: Have you set up any visits yet?

LM: I haven't visited anybody yet. I am still talking to a whole lot of people. I haven't set any definite dates with anybody, but I do have an idea who I am going to visit. I am working with Oklahoma, LSU, Texas A&M and two others that I haven't decided yet.

JH: Tell us your thoughts on Oklahoma.

LM: I just like them and that is basically it. I think they are a great program. They are on top right now and it doesn't look like they are going anywhere. I have a great time talking Coach (Lou) Saben and Coach Yrano at LSU. I like to talk to Coach Babers and I had a good talk to Coach R.C. Slocum. Everything right now is based on my phone conversations, because I don't know a lot about any of the schools. When I take my trips I will learn a lot more about them.

JH: Do you have a favorite?

LM: Oklahoma is my favorite right now.
