JAMES STIGALL, OL, 6'4, 300, 5.2, KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI (BLUE SPRINGS HS):
James Stigall is one of those tough no-nonsense type of offensive lineman that football coaches build their team around. Stigall is a dominating left tackle at Blue Springs High School, but he could wind up at guard on the collegiate level.
"Some teams are recruiting me at tackle and some at guard because of my height," said Stigall. "Oklahoma told me that my height is tall enough to play offensive tackle, but it is also good for playing guard. Where I play really makes no difference to me. I played offensive guard as a freshman and sophomore and then moved to left tackle last year. This season I will play left tackle again. I feel comfortable both run and pass blocker. It is more fun to run block, but we run a high powered offense here and we throw the ball quite a bit."
Stigall can bench 315 pounds, squats 490 and he has a 22-inch vertical jump. Stigall has never attended a college football camp, but hopes to go to the Missouri, Kansas State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Kansas and Tennessee camps.
"I want to get around and see as many schools as I can," said Stigall. "I have to look real hard at my schedule and try to fit everything into my own football training. I don't know how much of our own workouts I can miss. I will have to check with my football coach to see what he thinks."
At this point Stigall has offers from Missouri, Kansas, Northwestern and Tennessee had sold him that an offer is on its way.
"I am open-minded about it all, but obviously those four are my top four because they are recruiting me the hardest and they have put offers on the table," said Stigall. "Oklahoma is a great school, great program. I love their program. They haven't offered me yet, but they have told me that there is a good chance that they will. I hope to make it to their camp, and if I do then I think everything will fall into play."
Stigall will qualify.
