RECRUITING: Two team race for Kingfisher LB?

Kingfisher, Okla. linebacker Curtis Loftin talks about his visit to a recent OU scrimmage and his favorites.

Curtis Loftin, LB, 6-2, 225, 4.65, Kingfisher, Okla.:

JH: Did you make it to the Red/White game in Norman?

CL: "No, I didn't because that was the night of my prom."

JH: You did make it to a scrimmage in Norman didn't you?

CL: "I went to Norman for one of their scrimmages and I thought it was pretty intense. The players really got after it. I was pretty impressed."

JH: Have you taken any unofficial visits at this time?

CL: "The only unofficial visit that I have taken at this time is to UCLA over the spring break. I have also gone in-state to OU, Oklahoma State and Tulsa."

JH: Do you have plans to go to any summer camps?

CL: "I don't plan on going to any summer camps because we have a lot of young kids on our team and I need to stick around and supply a leadership role for them."

JH: From what I hear Kingfisher is going to be ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, would you agree with that?

CL: "I think we should be. We won it last year and we have a good number of good starters coming back. I think we will make a good run at it next year."

JH: What are you thoughts on recruiting at this point?

CL: "There have been a lot more schools that have contacted me over the past couple of weeks. It has opened my eyes a little bit and I wouldn't mind going exploring to see what some of these other schools have and just going out to explore a little bit."

JH: What are your thought on the Sooners?

CL: "My thoughts on Oklahoma are the same. They have a great coaching staff and they are always on top."

JH: The last time we talked your top two teams were Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Is that still the case?

CL: "Yes, both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are still among my top schools. I wouldn't say that I really have a favorite, but I consider those two my top two. Right now those two schools are pretty even."
