It appears that a decision is finally near for McDonald's All-American Malik Hairston.
Hairston, a 6-foot-6 guard/forward from Detroit, Mich., told OUInsider.com that he will make his decision public at a 3:00 PM (CST) news conference at his high school on Wednesday.
"My family and I have been meeting tonight and I think we have a lot of things worked out," Hairston told OUInsider.com Monday evening. "I think I know where we want to go, and tomorrow I plan on calling all the coaches and let them know what my decision is.
"Oklahoma has been part of our discussions tonight, but outside of that I don't want to say anything else. Until we have the press conference I really don't want to say anything else, especially until I talk to the coaches."
TheInsiders.com national basketball recruiting analyst Dave Telep also reported Monday evening that Hairston will inform all but two of his six finalists on Tuesday that they are out of the race, and then announce between the two finalists at his press conference on Wednesday.
Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Kansas, Oregon and UCLA are the six finalists on Hairston's list.
