RECRUITING: OU looking at 'unstoppable' Georgia RB

Atlanta, Ga. running back James Davis talks about his game and his three favorites.

Douglass High School in Atlanta is loaded with talent, but nobody in the entire state is any more talented than James Davis. James started the fourth game of his freshman season and he hasn't been out of the lineup since.

Last season Davis rushed for 1,592 and 18 touchdowns, while also racking up 222 receiving yards with one touchdown in just nine games. Davis also returns kick-offs taking three to the house with a long of 95 yards. Davis exploded on the Georgia prep scene his sophomore year rushing for 1,800 yards and 2,000 all-purpose yards and 26 touchdowns.

"I am unstoppable with great speed and power," said Davis. "I am more of a power running back, who can make people miss. I love to run between the tackles and punish defenders."

Davis can bench 275 pounds and squats 395. He went to the Tennessee spring game a few weeks ago and he also attended the Clemson spring game. He has been to Clemson on three different occasions and he will take in the Georgia camp on June 6.

Thus far Davis has 15 offers at this point and Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Florida, Alabama, LSU and Clemson are some of the schools who have offered.

"I like Clemson, Tennessee and LSU at the top of my board right now," said Davis. "I can't count Georgia out either. I haven't received an offer from Oklahoma, but they have contacted me."
