RECRUITING: Sooners offer Georiga OL

Atlanta, Ga. offensive tackle George Robinson talks about his interest in OU and the distance factor.

Duke Robinson is a mountain of a man that is being looked at on both sides of the ball. Robinson says he is getting more looks on offense, but he doesn't mind the attention on defense as well.

"I really like playing offensive tackle better than defensive tackle," said Robinson. "I love blocking down on linebackers and it is a great feeling when I make a good block and my running back or quarterback makes a big play. That is a great feeling for me."

Robinson, who is a three-year starter and both ways, can bench 325 pounds and squats 425. He isn't sure what his vertical jump is, but he knows he can dunk a basketball. George plays AAU basketball and that has kept him out of some summer football camps.

Robinson plans on attending camps at Georgia, UCLA, Auburn and Alabama this summer. He has been offered by 30 schools already and he is trying to sort through them all.

"Basically, I am just trying to enjoy recruiting and not rule out anybody," said Robinson. "I want to enjoy my senior year and I am glad that recruiting is going to be a part of it. I really haven't followed any other schools outside of Clemson when I was young.

"Oklahoma is a team outside of the area that I like. They are one of the schools that have offered me. I don't mind go away from home. My folks believe it would be good for me to get away from home and Oklahoma is one of the schools that I am going to consider."

Robinson has qualified.
