BRIAN JACKSON, CB, 6'1, 208, 4.4, DESOTO, TEXAS:
Through the recruiting world Brian Jackson is known as 'the freak' because there are very few men this size that can run this fast and play cover corner.
Jackson has been timed at 4.39 in the forty and he has the hips of a much smaller player.
"I think my size gives me a big advantage," said Jackson. "I can intimidate wide receivers when I get physical with them and then they are shocked when they find out I can run like I can. I love man-to-man coverage and I like to get right up on a receiver. I only gave up one catch last year and that was because of a messed up coverage, so I had a pretty good year last year."
Jackson started for the first time a year ago and finished with 30 tackles and four interceptions. Jackson will also play some running back this year. He can bench 305 pounds, squast 545 and he has a 36-inch vertical jump. Jackson runs the 200M (22.3) in track and he participated in the NIKE camp at College Station.
Jackson has been offered by eight different schools at this point and he is just now beginning to get into the recruiting process.
"Right now I am very wide open about recruiting, "said Jackson. "The schools that are interested in me I am giving a shot to hear what they have to say. I am talking to Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Maryland, Kansas, Boston College, Tulane and Texas A&M.
"I like Oklahoma if they want to play me at corner. Cornerback is where I want to play and if Oklahoma wants me to play corner than I have a serious interest in them."
Jackson has qualified.
