Huggins: "Oklahoma is where I want to go"

Conway, S.C. wide receiver Eric Huggins says an official commitment could come at the end of spring practice.

Eric Huggins, WR, 6-3, 190, 4.5, Conway, South Carolina:

JH: I understand you are at Myrtle Beach tonight?

EH: "It is good. It is packed. I try to get Myrtle Beach as much as I can. I try to go at least once every weekend. It seems that I am out here every time that I am not practicing."

JH: What are you participating in this spring?

EH: "Track is over with and we have spring football right now. We just go out and put together a little workout and work on some things that we are going to do during the regular season. My track season was alright. I just ran to improve my speed and I think I was able to do that."

JH: What is going on with your recruiting, has anything changed?

EH: "Nothing has changed. Oklahoma is where I want to go. I have not committed to them officially, but I am telling you that is where I want to go. I want to wait until the end of spring practice, because I don't want my teammates to think that I am not concentrating on our own team. I want things to cool down a little bit from spring and then talk to my coach about it. Hopefully, I will be able to announce something with you soon."

JH: I know that you come on our website some, so what do you think about all the great things the OU fans say about you?

EH: "They really like me man, and I can't believe that. Every time I go on your website I see something new on me and the people are always saying great things about me. I appreciate that and think that is what is great about Oklahoma. The fans are great. I can't wait to get to Oklahoma."

JH: What do the local people in your area think about the fact that you are probably going to go to OU?

EH: "They really don't like it, but I think they will understand in the future. Most people around here want me to go to USC (South Carolina) or Clemson, but that is not where my heart is."
