C.J. MILES JR, G, 6'5 1/2, 205, DALLAS, TEXAS (SKYLINE HS):
C.J. Miles is without question one of the top five players in Texas and many consider him one of the top 20 players in the country. Blessed with a great all-around game, Miles has been a starter since his sophomore year when he average 16 points and nine rebounds per game. Then last year, Miles picked his game up a notch averaging 25 points and 12 rebounds.
"I like to play up-tempo, and if I get the rebound then I may take off with it because I can handle it and I am the best finisher on the team," said Miles. "But if I am in the half court set many times from the wing I am looking to pass the ball because I am drawing so much attention and my teammates are open. My teammates can make open shots and I can get them the ball. On rebounding I just want it more than anybody else.I know if I get the rebound then nobody else can get it and I usually can get a second shot or a put back on the offensive end."
Miles attended the Pango summer camp recently and he will also attend the Nike camp this summer. Thus far Miles has visited Texas and Baylor and already he has received an offer from just about every school but Duke.
"I really don't have a top five at the moment, but I do like North Carolina, Texas, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Arizona and Oklahoma. I am going to take an unofficial visit to OU on Tuesday. I like Oklahoma quite a bit. I like Coach (Kelvin) Sampson a lot and I have also talked to a lot of the other coaches a lot as well. Plus, it is close to home for me as well."
Miles is uncertain if he will take any other visits this summer.
