RECRUITING: Sooners still lead for Harris?

Garland, Texas guard Terrel Harris talks about his recent trip to Texas A&M and his upcoming visit to Oklahoma State.

Terrel Harris, G, 6-4, 180, GARLAND, TEXAS (SOUTH GARLAND HS):

JH: What is the latest in recruiting?

TH: "I went to Texas A&M this past weekend and I am going to Oklahoma State this weekend. I was supposed to go on June 19th to OSU, but something came up and I had to reschedule."

JH: What did you think of Texas A&M?

TH: "It is a real nice campus. They put a lot of money into their campus and their athletic department. I didn't realize the tradition they had behind their academics and their athletics. They are really trying to be the very best in the country at both."

JH: What are you going to look for in your visit to OSU?

TH: "I want to see what the students are like. I have been on the OSU chat boards and they have been encouraging me to go there. My uncle went to school there and he and his family are going to make the trip with us. It is going to be a little family road trip for us and we are very excited about the trip."

JH: Are you still interested in OU?

TH: Yes, sir. Coach Sampson called me today. Today was the first official day that they could call me."

JH: What are your thoughts on OU?

TH: "Right now they are my favorite school among all the schools that I have visited, but I am expecting that I am going to be impressed by Oklahoma State. I know they are trying hard to do so. I heard form Coach (James) Dickey tonight and they are recruiting me very hard. I am not saying that it is just going to come down to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State because Texas is still in the picture along with Baylor, and I loved the coaches at Texas A&M. I can't say that it is just going to come down to OU and OSU."

JH: Do you still plan on making your decision by the end of this month or early July?

TH: "A lot of schools just jumped in the last couple of hours and that has confused me a little bit. I am not saying that I am going to let all of these schools in, but they are all good schools and I feel I do need to at least listen to them."
