Ere leads Sooners past Hogs

Sooners get fourth straight win over Razorbacks with 69-64 win Friday in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Before a crowd of just over 19,000, Oklahoma junior Ebi Ere had another solid game for the Sooners as Oklahoma (3-1) defeated the Razorbacks 69-54. Ere, who led all scorers with 29 points, sparked a late Oklahoma run to knock Arkansas (3-2) out for the count.

Oklahoma, despite out-rebounding Arkansas 29-7 in the first half, only held a 30-24 lead at intermission after the Hogs erased the good part of an early 11-point lead.
The Hogs would continue their run in the early minutes of the second half and would tie the game at 34. That push put the pressure on the Sooners – and they responded.

Oklahoma used intense defense to force Arkansas into several bad shots and made the most of those possessions that came off of turnovers.
Oklahoma Senior Daryan Selvy dominated the glass while pulling down 13 rebounds to help limit Arkansas' shots.

Hollis Price also chipped in 15 points and 2 assists to help lead the Sooners to their third win of the season and fourth straight against Arkansas.

The Sooners next contest is against St. Bonaventure on Wednesday night in Norman.
