RECRUITING: Early PT intrigues Hardrick

Orlando, Fla. offensvie tackle Matt Hardrick update.

Matt Hardrick, OL, 6-5, 337, 5.5, ORLANDO, FLORIDA (EDGEWATER HS):

JH: How is your summer going?

MH: "I went to two camps. I went to the 'Down and Dirty' camp down in Lakeland, Fla., which is an offensive lineman camp. I also went to the NIKE camp at Miami. The rest of the time I have been working all summer and working out."

JH: How are your workouts going?

MH: "They are going fairly well. I have gotten stronger and a little quicker. I weigh 330 pounds and I have been tested on the bench or squat, but I think I am stronger than I was last year."

JH: Have you been able to take any unofficial visits this summer?

MH: "I am going to wait until the season starts and then visit some school on their game days."

JH: What are your thoughts on recruiting?

MH: "Right now I am looking at LSU, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida State and Ole Miss. I really don't have a favorite, but that is my top five."

JH: What do you think about Oklahoma at this time?

MH: "Oklahoma has a great education program, outstanding tradition and they have one of the top programs in the country. You really can't go wrong if you pick Oklahoma. I know they need offensive tackles and that will be a big factor with them. I think can play as a freshman and quite possibly start. And to say that at a great program like Oklahoma is saying something."
