ETTA ETTA-TAWO, DT, 6'4, 290, 4.9, POWDER SRPINGS, GEORGIA (MCEACHERN HS):
Etta Etta-Tawo is a tremendous defensive tackle prospect who has so much athletic ability that in some defensive schemes he can line up at defensive end and more than hold his own.
Etta-Tawo broke onto the high school football scene last season finishing the season with 60 tackles, three sacks, seven tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
"It has been amazing that I am being recruited so hard all over the country," said Etta-Tawo. "I think I am going to be a lot better this year because last year I really didn't know what to expect. Now, I know that I need to keep working hard because I know if I do a lot of good things will continue to come my way."
Etta-Tawo can bench 310 pounds, squats 485 and he has a 28-inch vertical jump. Etta-Tawo went to the Southeastern defensive camp and the MSL-combine at Clark-Athlete University along with visiting Georgia officially.
Etta-Tawo has been offered by 10 different schools at this point and he has narrowed his choices down to a special few.
"Right now I like Stanford, Georgia, Duke and Maryland at this point," said Etta-Tawo. "I also like Oklahoma, but I am making my decision with my parents and right now they like the other schools better because they know a lot more about those schools. I haven't really thought about where I am going to visit. I know that I am going to take all or most of my visits, but I haven't set any up at this time."
Etta-Tawo has already qualified.
