Malcolm Kelly, (6'3.5" 190 4.5 Longview, TX), the top receiver in Texas and No. 4 ranked wide receiver in the country has given his pledge to Oklahoma this afternoon.

"The second I left Oklahoma I knew where I wanted to play my college football," said Kelly early Monday evening. "It's just a great football program. The style of play fits me perfectly on offense. Plus, the playing time is something I just can't turn down. They graduate five receivers and have some others that may not be back, leaving only five on scholarship when I arrive.

"It's just the perfect situation for me. I talked on the phone today with Eric Huggins and we're going to be real tight. He and I have already become good friends and we can't wait to win championships at Oklahoma."

This is a Huge step for Oklahoma and compliments Eric Huggins and Manuel Johnson. OU has a chance with this commitment to land the top receiver class in the country.

And to top off the daily double, Ben Barresi a 6-foot5, 282 pounders from Edmond North High School, visited Norman today and also commited to the Sooners.

Barresi has had an amazing summer and topped off a fine showing at the OU camp and a dominating performance on the West coast when he was named the top offensive lineman at the Stanford Nike Camp.

Barresi's twin brother Joe is still recovering from a sholder injury, but will still be evaluted. And don't be surprised if he also gets an offer this fall. Joe is impressing OU coaches who can see that when healty, has similar skills as his twin.

Ben visited Oklahoma along with Kingfisher linebacker Curtis Lofton, giving OU a step up in the recruiting for this amazing in state linebacker. Lofton has added Miami to his list and may visit there this week.
