RECRUITING: Houston safety headed to Norman

Houston safety Brodney Poole talks about his LSU trip and scheduled visit to Norman next weekend

JH: Did you visit anyone last weekend?
BP: I went to LSU and I would by lying if I said I didn't like it. I liked it a great deal. I liked the environment and how LSU is building their program. The game was great as well. I like their night games and just how fun the games seem to be.

JH: Where do you stand in recruiting right now?

BP: Right now I have a top three. That is OU, LSU and Kansas State. OU is already established, winning the national title last year. They have a great coaching staff and a great corp of players coming back. LSU has a great program that is up and coming. Last year people were saying they had the best recruiting class in the country and this year they are putting together another great class. So, over the next two or three years they are going to have a great team. Kansas State is a good school and there is something about them that I like. They usually don't recruit high school players and they usually go after JUCO players. So, I think it is great they like me enough to want to sign me.

JH: What schools have you visited and where else do you plan on visiting?

BP: I have been to Purdue and LSU. Purdue is still in the picture a little bit. I am going to OU this weekend and then Kansas State (12-14). I am supposed to go to Colorado on January 11 or maybe Texas. I will probably go to Colorado.

JH: Talk about what you're looking forward to most about your visit to Oklahoma this coming weekend?

BP: I just want to meet the whole coaching staff and really look over the program. They have one of the best programs in the country and I can't wait to get up there.
