J.D. RUNELLS, ATH, 6'1, 230, 4.6, MIDWEST CITY CARL ALBERT, OKLAHOMA:
JH: Carl Albert just won another state title, talk about going out with another state tilte under your belt?
JR: Goodness gracious, words can't describe my feelings about winning another state title. I have never lost in the playoffs here and that is a great feeling. I figured after the Douglas game we would be OK, and then when we lost to Guthrie I got really worried. However, it was at that time that I moved to safety and that seemed to pull out team together.
I think the experience of having the big time game experience will convince some college coaches that I am a winner and know how to play in big games.
JH: What schools are you looking at right now?
JR: I got a visit set with Texas A&M on Thursday and they have offered me. Kansas State is telling me that want to offer me and I have an visit set with them on the December 14th. OU still isn't showing a great deal of interest in me, but I am not counting them out. OU is still the school I would like to get some interest in.
JH: You played fullback on offense and linebacker and safety on defense in high school, what position are colleges recruiting you for?
JR: Both Texas A&M and Kansas State are recruiting me as a fullback. It looks like that is the position that I am going to wind up playing in college. That is OK with me. I like physical contact and that is the only way that I would have it.
RECRUITING: Is OU recruiting J.D. Runells?
