RECRUITING: Colorado DE has one visit left

Aurora, Colo. defensive end Zach Latimer has one visit left, says OU is best visit so far

ZACH LATIMER, DE, 6-3, 218, 4.47, AURORA GATEWOOD, COLORADO:

JH: I know you had a good year, what were your final stats?

ZL: I finished with 492 yards rushing, 389 yards receiving and 17 touchdowns combined. On defense, I finished with 89 tackles and 16 sacks. I also had three fumble recoveries and two interceptions and I returned two of the fumble recoveries for a touchdown.

JH: Didn't you just get back from a visit?

ZL: I just got back from UCLA this past weekend. I really liked the campus and people up there. Before that weekend I went to the Colorado and had a great opportunity to watch the Colorado-Nebraska game. Boulder was pretty nice and people were just going crazy there after that game. I had a real good time.

JH: Out of UCLA and Colorado, which team do you like better?

ZL: Both have good coaching staffs and if I had to lean to one of them out of those two it would be CU.
JH: Do you have a leader?

ZL: I really don't have a leader overall. It is probably down to CU and Oklahoma at this point. I have one more visit to Miami (12-14). After that I will probably make a decision in early January. Oklahoma is still high on my list. I still have some great memories from my trip to Oklahoma and I can tell you that Oklahoma does things right. Oklahoma has been my best visit so far.

JH: Since you live close to Colorado does that give them an edge?
ZL: Staying close to home doesn't make that much difference. I will go to the best place for me. My parents tell me that I am the one that has to make this decision. My dad played at Miami, but he is not putting any pressure on me to go there.

JH: Which team has the biggest need for defensive ends?
ZL: Probably at Oklahoma and that is important to me.
