RECRUITING: OU commit still taking visits?

The latest on Leander, Texas quarterback Paul Thompson

JH: Paul, what were your final stats?

PT: We ended up 8-3 and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Killeen 21-3. I ended up passing for 1,527 and 14 touchdowns and I rushed for 1,033 and 14 touchdowns. I was pretty happy with how things went. I had a couple of good games against tough teams.

JH: Are you going to take any visits, outside of Oklahoma?

PT: Yes, I am. I have been talking to an Oklahoma State coach and I may go up there and visit. However, I am not going to change my commitment and I am going to Oklahoma. I will visit Oklahoma this weekend.

JH: Why do you want to take other visits if you are still committed to OU?

PT: I just want to go out and see what another school is like.

JH: Will you play quarterback in college?

PT: I think OU could use a mobile quarterback. I think when a guy like White is in the lineup the offense moves pretty well. I can bring that kind of mobility to their offense in the future.

JH: What did you think of Oklahoma's season?

PT: I am pretty happy with their season. Sure, I was disappointed when they lost to Nebraska and Oklahoma State, but still they had a good year. The coaches were upset after the loss to Oklahoma State, but they said they couldn't win them all, but they sure won most of them.
