RECRUITING: It's OU or OSU for Texas defensive end

Canadian, Texas DE Auston English talks about his upcoming decision between the Sooners and Cowboys.

Auston English, DE, 6-3, 220, 4.65, CANADIAN, TEXAS:

JH: How has your summer gone?

AE: "I have accomplished good gains in my max. I feel I am much stronger and I have gained some weight. I weigh 235 and the other day I benched 320, and I threw up 435 on the squat. In both exercises I have not completely maxed yet, but I hope to do that soon."

JH: You start two-a-days next week, so are you ready?

AE: "Yeah, I am ready to get back out and play some football. Going through two-a-days is more fun than lifting weights. It has been a long time since I have played some football, and I am ready to get back after it."

JH: How is recruiting going at this time?

AE: "I hope to try to make an early decision, maybe as early as this week. I want to get everything behind me so I can just concentrate on my season and concentrate on my senior year."

JH: Who is it coming down to?

AE: "I am still real strong on Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, and I have narrowed it down between those two schools."

JH: What is it you like about Oklahoma?

AE: "I just like everything about Oklahoma. I like their attitude, poise, coaching. I just like everything up there. At Oklahoma State, they have a real good atmosphere and it reminds me of my hometown. I like their coaching staff because they seem to be real good family people."

JH: What factors will help you decide between the two schools?

AE: "My decision is going to come down to where I feel I am going to be challenged the most. want to be pushed to a level that I have never been pushed to before."

JH: Have you talked to both teams recently?

AE: "I have talked to Oklahoma tonight and I haven't talked to Oklahoma State in a while, but I will get hold of them this week."
