RECRUITING: Jenks linebacker picks Nebraska

Tulsa, Okla. linebacker Phillip Dillard talks about his commitment to Nebraska.

Phillip Dillard, LB, 6-2, 240, 4.6 Jenks, Okla.:

JH: Have you decided to commit to Nebraska?

PD: "Yes, but I am officially going to do it tomorrow."

JH: You have been offered by all three schools in-state, so why Nebraska?

PD: "I feel more comfortable at Nebraska. There were other schools that stood out to me, but I don't think any school stood out as much as Nebraska."

JH: Talk about what stood out to you about Nebraska?

PD: "It was just how they made me feel. They really wanted me to come to Nebraska. When I went up there as soon as I walked into the office the entire coaching staff was there to greet me and they all know who I was. Then, when I met a teammate, even a linebacker, they weren't worried about me taking their job — they just wanted me on their team."

JH: Is this a decision that has been in the making for some time?

PD: "I have been leaning that way for some time, and this past weekend when I went up there made up my mind for me."

JH: Have you told OU and OSU yet?

PD: "No, I haven't talked to OU or OSU, but they probably know by now."
