RECRUITING: DeSoto CB narrows list to three

DeSoto, Texas cornerback Brian Jackson talks about his three finalists. Did OU make the cut?

Brian Jackson, CB, 6-1, 210, 4.55, DeSOTO, TEXAS:

JH: How have your summer workouts gone this summer?

BJ: "My workouts have gone well this summer. We work out in the morning and we get done what we need to get done. I worked on my footwork, which is mainly what I needed to work on as a corner. My bench is still around 315 and my squat at 550."

JH: Have you been to any schools unofficially this summer?

BJ: "I went to Oklahoma State unofficially yesterday. It was a real nice campus and I really liked the coaches. I got a chance to meet a couple of the players. I already knew a couple of them (Victor Degrate and Darrent Williams) and they were real nice. I thought it was a real nice atmosphere and that it would be a real nice place to play."

JH: Are you going to visit any other schools this summer?

BJ: "I am going to Arizona tomorrow."

JH: So how is recruiting shaping up for you right now?

BJ: "My top three right now are Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Arizona. Wherever that takes me is where I am going to go."

JH: Are you going to try to make it up to OU before school starts?

BJ: "My coached called the OU coaches and talked to them about me coming up there to see them. I am going to try to get up to Oklahoma in the next couple of weeks."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma at this time?

BJ: "I really like Oklahoma, and I have liked them for a while. I know Oklahoma likes to play big, physical corners and that is OK with me. I know they love to play safety types that play more like linebackers, and that is OK with me as well. I like how OU plays in the secondary."

JH: Do you have a leader at this point?

BJ: "No really. I am going to try to make a decision before school start."
