RECRUITING: Georgia LB still high on OU?

Jeffersonville, Ga. linebacker Antonio Clay update.

JH: How has your summer gone?

AC: "I have been working hard in the weight room getting into condition. We started hitting this week and that takes some getting used to. I am glad football has started again and I am looking forward to a good season. I am still about 6-2, 220. I have improved my bench and squat, or at the very least it is going to be better when the season starts."

JH: Have you been to any camps this summer or visited any schools unofficially?

AC: "I went to Miami this summer. I went to the Clemson camp and we went to the team camp at Alabama. Miami was a great. I had a chance to talk to Coach Larry Coker while I was there. I got a chance to see the surroundings and I got a chance to also talk to Coach Hargrave — their linebacker coach."

JH: What is going on in recruiting with you?

AC: "I am going to get into the football season and then visit schools that I have an interest in. I will visit Oklahoma, LSU, Miami, Georgia and Maryland."

JH: Do you have a favorite at this point?

AC: "No, I don't think I have a favorite. I will just have to see how things go when I take my visits."

JH: Early on Oklahoma was your leader. Have you backed off them to a certain extent?

AC: "No, my feelings about Oklahoma are the same. But I have just learned to like other schools as well. Oklahoma is a great team and I just want to go down there and watch a game and soak in their game atmosphere. I want to see their campus and the surroundings around the campus. I want to talk to their coaches and talk to some of their players to get their feelings on the program."

JH: Will you take recruiting all the way to signing date or commit early?

AC: "I want to commit before the signing date."
